About Thrive
Hi, I’m Emma — Director and lead practitioner at Thrive Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
With over 8 years of experience in the Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) sector and a deep passion for helping children and young people grow, heal, and thrive, I created Thrive PBS to provide meaningful, trauma-informed behaviour support that truly makes a difference. I hold a Bachelor of Psychological Science. I also bring additional qualifications in play therapy, sand tray therapy, trauma healing, and positive behaviour support, and I am a registered NDIS behaviour support practitioner.
I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals with complex needs including autism, developmental trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, sexualised behaviours and more. My practice is grounded in compassion, creativity, and evidence-based strategies that respect each person’s unique story and strengths.
As a mother of three and a passionate advocate for neurodivergent and vulnerable young people, I understand the importance of building trust, creating safe spaces, and working collaboratively with families and support teams.
At Thrive PBS, we believe that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to thrive in every aspect of their lives. I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, professional insight, and unwavering commitment to helping individuals reach their full potential.
